Description:
Respocare syrup is a solution of natural ingredients that provides relief from non-productive as well as spasmodic cough. It is useful to treat respiratory tract related infection such as laryngitis, tonsillitis and pharyngitis.
Composition:
Each 10 ml of Respocare Syrup contains: Navasadar (Ammonium Chloride) 2gm, Nilgiri oil (Eucalptus globules) 0.07ml, Pudina (Mentha pipertia) 50mg, Vasa (Adhatoda Vasica) 100mg, Yasthimadhu (Glycyrrhiza glabra) 200mg,Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum) 100mg, Sugar and excipients base q.s.

Other Ingredients: Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Methyl, and Sodium Propyl Paraben as Preservative (within permissible limit according to API)
Pharmacology:
Respocare syrup contain herbal ingredients that has antitussive, expectorant and anti-inflammatory action which shows effective action on relieving cough and respiratory related infections. Research study on the herbs used for preparation of Respocare syrup shows antitussive action by affecting a certain part of the brain (cough center), reducing the urge to cough. The oil such as Nilgiri oil and Mentha oil shows decongestion action by shrinking the blood vessels in nasal membrane and allow the air passages to open up. Along with this, Pudina and Tulsi relieve inflammation of oral mucosa. Yastimadhu exhibits soothing action on sore throat and reduces hoarseness of voice and wheezing. Navasadar and Vasa in syrup preparation has expectorant effect due to its irritative action on the bronchial mucosa. This effect promotes the secretion of sputum from the air passages.

Adults: 2 teaspoonful thrice a day

Fertility, pregnancy and lactation: There is no such ingredient in Respocare syrup which can cause side effects in babies. It is possibly safe for lactating mothers as well as use during pregnancy. Respocare syrup can be used under medical supervision during lactation and pregnancy.
Overdose: Do not take more than prescribed dose. Taking more medication will not improve your symptoms; rather they may cause poisoning or serious side effects. Do not give your medicines to other people even if you know that they have the same condition or it seems that they may have similar conditions.
Storage: Store in a dry and cool place, away from direct heat and sunlight. Keep away from the children. Use within one month of opening of bottle.
